After moving to Ubuntu Gutsy, I was on the lookout for a shell that will be as easy and warm-and-fuzzy as Konsole. Now what konsole does brilliantly is… tabs…millions of them, everywhere.
you want to open a new one - done! you want your unit-test tab to be brought next to your compile tab.. done! compared to Konsole, every other terminal sucked - gnome-terminal, xfce4-terminal, etc.
Except mrxvt of course…
Now why did’nt I just “apt-get install konsole” and get done with it you
ask - ahh, but it needs to download all the QT3 libraries. Not good..
mrxvt is my new favorite - and with my custom mrxvtrc, I am good to go.
After this one cup of coffee that is ;)
